Default Should the Lakers sign Brent Barry?

The Lakers have an extra roster spot and he's a great 3 point shooter. Maybe a good signing so no other west teams have him lol.

I thought of it and losing crittenton can pose some problems. He would be the best replacement.

I hope we can get him. Dude can play.

Get him just to prevent SAS and PHX from doing the same.

I dont feel we need him since we're currenly playing 9, not including Bynum and Ariza. Sasha and Vlad are in a groove at the moment, however Vlad can be inconsistent and having Barry is a nice insurance factor.

Are you talking about this season or the next?

Do you feel there might be a better talent out there than Barry? If so, what's the dirt?

nothing in mind right off the bat but when your heading into the playoffs you need to keep options open... any player waived before mar 1 is eliglible for the playoffs and i'm sure there will be more coming soon with all the activity lately... as an example maglorie came up today he's available now... it's just better to wait and see...add that you cna only take 12 into the playoffs with you so as it stands now 2 are going to be left behind

Pulling a Jerry Stackhouse.. without telling the world about it.

Anyways.. I think we should pick him up. Not because we necessarily need a high percentage 3 pt shooter, but because we have the spot and he would help out bench out even more.

agreed...

Besides, if Barry was so "awesome," he would be on a team already. Truth is that he is just not that good.

....What quality player will there be left in case of such a emergency?
Ya think they are waiting for a cut/buyout thats coming? If so, whats the deadline for that?

Barry is a superb shooter and excellent passer....he would
fit nice on the offensive end.... I think PJax could use him
effectively....

You beat me to it...
Sounds like another side deal that was discussed under the table. And to think that Popovich thinks the Lakers pulled a fast one.
