Default How about Giving KOBE a game off.......

Seriously, the guy is injured in 20 different ways, he is fatigued, i say give him fridays game vs Memphis off

that would give kobe from weds night until sunday to rest his legs..

and the grizlies? i think we can handle them with kobe sidelined..

If we were healthy I would say yes....

Besides... he's gonna get himself a game off for the technicals.

How about Kobe stepping up during this critical stretch instead of this BS we have been watching.

He had no help tonight at all. He was forced into some tough shots.

I dont blame KB tonight because as i said, he had no help.... had he of not shot it would have been like Game 7 all over again.

No, i do blame KOBE, there was a nice long stretch where he tried to carry to much, and i was yelling at him to pass it, bad game by kobe bad game by all those shooting 3s, bad game by the refs ...good game for the cats

kobe get it together!

I'm calling BS.
Kobe: 8-22, 3 assists
Richardson: 34pts 2a 10rb 3steals

I'm not saying it was all Kobe's fault, but he is certainly equal to blame.

He could have had like 7 assists if guys were knocking down shots. But I was not happy with the way he tried to take-over at the start of the 3rd when his shots still were not falling (at some point you have to say ok, its not my night, I'll shoot if open, but otherwise I need to play team-ball). Not sure if it would have made much of a difference anyway, because when he wasn't in the game or didn't touch the ball all we got were bad shots and turn-overs. His defense was garbage though and if it was his ankle or he's really running on fumes then maybe he should take a game off. Because I've never seen him get beat off the dribble so many times by the same guy (J-Rich) in one game! Bad play all around except for Lamar. We didn't have the effort in the first half and even when we did in the second we were still over-matched. The Bobcats have the perfect team to beat us without our bigs...its just as plain as day!

they all need a day off..kobe's not the only one... heck lamar played more minutes the last few games then kobe...

part of the problem is phil hass been giving the guys time offfrom practice and shootarounds, hoping that they can get into the groove during the game.

sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't

just that time of the year... kobe's injured yes, but he's no more tired then anyone else... that being said. i'd like to see phil start trying to find the guys some minutes during the game to rest... even playing 38 minutes instead of 45 would go a long way to make it more bearable for the guys

It is a catch-22. If you give Kobe a game off now you are losing your best player for a game in a tight playoff race, if you wait for Gasol and Bynum to come back then they don't have a chance to gel together.

I agree with GTS if you can decrease the minutes played it would work, but they have to start playing defense and playing as a team again before they can even think about it.

What I dont understand, is why was he shooting so damn much at the start of the second half?

That was the worst Kobe I've seen since Frank Hamblen replaced Rudy T and thats exactly how we lose games, with an all-star roster or not.

Kobes clearly fatigued. Taking lazy long shots and a lot of ill advised ones all while complaining to the refs. He really needs a day off but with the playoff race this tight, no one should be allowed a dy off. We cannot afford to lose to Memphis, we need kobe to play.

Kobe needs to play through this...

He is the leader of this team...we have are 7 footer troops down...we need Kobe more then ever to remain in the playoff hunt not just the top three seeds.

So nope...Kobe got to play through it all.

Play him less in the Memphis game, BUT not a game off. Lakers cannot afford to sit Kobe out a game right now.

Oh, how about this? The lakers come out with a lot of intensity tonight and try to blow out Memphis, then maybe Kobe don't have to play in the fourth quarter. That's a smart way to get some rest. Now if the team come out lazy and have no sense of urgency, then it's their fault. They have no one to blame but themselve. In that case, they deserve to be tired because they didn't take advantage of the opponent and of the opportunities.
