In order for this team to make the next step, Colangelo knows this team is going to a need a bonafide second option scoring threat. It should be a top priority.

Next on my list would be to find a replacement for Sam Mitchell but that is just my opinion. I dont care for him at all.

Trade TJ, Calderon is the future.

1. Fire Sam Mitchell. We absolutely get crushed in key stretches of games, and it's entirely to do with coaching. We'll never get out of the first round with him as a coach.

2. Trade Jose Calderon, since his value is higher then TJ Ford and the output they both give our team is basically equal.

3. Use trades (Calderon) to acquire a dependable secondary scoring option that can take the offensive duties off Chris Bosh at times.

4. Move some of the clutter at the wing position - I'd only keep Moon and Kapono personally, Delfino and Parker can both go.

5. Transform Andrea Bargnani into a basketball player, who rebounds, defends, shoots at a high percentage and plays with a veteran savvy or just someone who when on the floor doesn't give the illusion that we're playing 4 on 6 since he does more positive for the other team then our own.

I don't know about letting Kapono go, I mean if he played the way he did in the playoffs and if we actually had plays drawn up for him, he's going to really help our team. But I'm with you on letting Delfino go though, I can't stand his chucking.

We need 2-3 threats for scoring

Picking up Melo and Redd would be nice.

Trade Ford

Pick up Biedrens

Trade Delfino and Baston

Keep Kapono.

That's too wishful thinking i'm afraid. I say we should stop trying to mold Barg into someone he's not. Forget D and rebounding, just learn to score for now, Dirk style, inside and outside. Sure he'll get killed by other 3s on D but if he becomes a big-time scorer at least we can use him.

Should Raptors need to look for a shooting guard? Anthony Parker is aging so they should find someone, maybe from drafting, to be a backup and/or be a future starting SG for the team in the future.

Outside of a handful of teams, I actually think we have the lowest production from SG in the entire league. In addition to that, we have the lowest prodcution from SF and C in the league, or close to it.

Outside of a PG and someone taking on Bargs whom I doubt will be moved as the brass will be stubborn with him, we have little assets to move. Expiring deals is what we have, but I think after the backlash Wallace has received for the Gasol deal, I don't think studs will be moving for expiring deals only. You have to add an asset. Memphis got Crittiton at least. We have mediocre picks in the mid first round to offer, and Bargs...but like has been said, a first overall pick shouldn't be a throw in sweetner.

Pipe dreams like Melo aren't going to happen. I think Redd is available, but we have little to offer for him. Kapono in terms of production, has a bad contract. The full MLE for that guy 2 mins into the free agency period was a disaster.

Mitchell has to go and I assume that will happen soon. D'Antoni is a real possibility.

We need to let Delfino walk. No more giving $4 mill per deals to players no better then 9th men on any good team.

I think we'll draft the best available wing but can't expect them to be much help next year. Or, we'll move our pick in a package.

We have to deal one of the PGs for a wing. People don't give up bigs too easily in this league.

However......I have read Denver might deal big for small, as they need a PG. Nene for TJ? I know it's not a homerun that Raps fans will want...but I think we totally over value what TJ can bring in a deal. I mean he was acquired for Cvill for crying out loud, not Carlos Boozer. There are only a handful of teams that even need a PG and one will be removed with the Rose draft. Injuries are an issues with Nene, but also with Ford. Just a thought.
