Default Brooklyn Rally

A lot of Brooklyn residents don't want Ratner to build there and put the Nets in Brooklyn. In the end it probably still happens, but is this really much better then being in the swamp. I realize they'd still be in the city, but if you're surrounded by people who primarily hate you, I wouldn't wanna build there...

agreed, brooklyn doesnt even want them and alot of nets fans here would like to see them stay, all this just cause Jay-Z wants a good team in his old neighborhood

there are still probably plenty of places in jersey where they can move. We should tear up the Devils training facility and put them there...

Ratner has promised all the residents who are affected that they can live in hotels, PAID BY RATNER until construction is over, then they get to live in his new apartment complexes with first dibs.

if that's not a sweet deal I don't know what is.

i tell you, liberals are USELESS. always complain and never provide solutions.

it's not just an arena, Ratner is proposing turning downtown Brooklyn into a mini city with skyscrapers and so on.

Default I think the nets home should be downtown Newark!

Everyone should know the real home for the nets is Downtown Newark,The city has been trying hard to get it since the 80s,besides the Newark Arena will open next year anyway!!!!!!!!!

i wish man, i wish...

what I'm really gonna hate is the dumb knick fans that switch cause they'll be in brooklyn. I know there will be some loyal knick fans that won't be stupid, but there are always the morons...

the Nets need to be in or near a major city

They're near NYC but that's different, because new yorkers don't like working all day and then having to go out to jersey, even if it's close

They need to be in or right next to newark, or in brooklyn

Sounds like the brooklyn project won't be ready till 2010-2012, and isn't really a done deal yet

Political leaders and powerful people want the Nets to move to Brooklyn

The local residents who will have to get out of there, shockingly, do not

It would definitely be good for brooklyn in that it gives the place a center that currently doesn't exist
