Default Boris Diaw: How would he do as a fulltime guard?

Just curious what others think. I think his postup skills, length on D, and speed would make him a better fit at guard than forward. I'd like to see him run the offense more like he did in games 3 & 4 in the Spurs series. When he can post up opposing guards he seems to go for a triple double every time. For a team with no post scoring, he could be a solution if you surround him with shooters and decently sized backcourt partners (3 guard lineup) to discourage switching.

What do you think? It works really well in 2k8 with Rudy Gay and Mike Miller in the lineup, how would an experiment like that translate to real life? I remember him playing PG for the Hawks and even filling in for the Suns when Nash was injured one year. Had a 16 ast game once. I'm curious.

"Dude is just too damn big". Not comparing the two but isn't that what people probably thought about Magic Johnson?

lol too big for PG. he played PG his whole life up until the NBA. he has a field day posting up guards, thats the point. he's got the quickness and length to defend a tony parker, chris paul, whoever.

remember Shaun Livingston. Magic Johnson?

yeah i am, but watch a game or just watch some tape right now, or ask any unbiased fan. Pat riley said it himself hes the closest thing to magic thats came into the league so far.

i'm not arguing that odom is similar to diaw in that he can pass really well and run the floor. i'm arguing that diaw is quicker and a better playmaker. i know odom's game. but odom cannot average 6 asts as a PF or put up 17 asts in a game.

and no, riley is wrong. lebron is more like magic except with hops.

Diaw is quicker then lamar and lamar is a better playmaker.Lamar could never guard a Deron Williams I believe Diaw could.Diaw would never avg 8 ast at pg I believe Lamar would.
