Just curious what others think. I think his postup skills, length on D, and speed would make him a better fit at guard than forward. I'd like to see him run the offense more like he did in games 3 & 4 in the Spurs series. When he can post up opposing guards he seems to go for a triple double every time. For a team with no post scoring, he could be a solution if you surround him with shooters and decently sized backcourt partners (3 guard lineup) to discourage switching.
What do you think? It works really well in 2k8 with Rudy Gay and Mike Miller in the lineup, how would an experiment like that translate to real life? I remember him playing PG for the Hawks and even filling in for the Suns when Nash was injured one year. Had a 16 ast game once. I'm curious.
Re: Boris Diaw: How would he do as a fulltime guard?
i'm not arguing that odom is similar to diaw in that he can pass really well and run the floor. i'm arguing that diaw is quicker and a better playmaker. i know odom's game. but odom cannot average 6 asts as a PF or put up 17 asts in a game.
and no, riley is wrong. lebron is more like magic except with hops.
