The Minnesota Timberwolves have waived center Nikola Pekovic, who has been battling lingering injuries. His NBA career may be over.
Pekovic appeared in 271 games for the Wolves, averaging 12.6 points, on 51.8 percent shooting, and 6.7 rebounds. He was drafted by Minnesota in the second round (31st overall) of the 2008 NBA Draft.
