Wizards waive Lester Hudson

Wizards President Ernie Grunfeld announced today that the team has waived guard Lester Hudson.

Hudson appeared in 11 games in two separate stints with Washington this season, totaling 18 points and 17 assists in 73 minutes of play.

Hudson was previously signed this season on September 24, waived on November 22, and signed again on December 20.

Washington’s roster currently stands at 14.

Bucks waive Brian Skinner

The Milwaukee Bucks have requested waivers on center Brian Skinner (6-9, 255), General Manager John Hammond announced today.

Skinner, 34, signed as a free agent on December 2, 2010. He appeared in two games with the Bucks this season. A veteran of 12 NBA seasons (including 2003-04 and 2006-07 in Milwaukee), Skinner holds career averages of 4.7 points and 4.7 rebounds in 607 career games.

The Bucks roster now stands at 14 players.

Mavericks waive Steve Novak

The Dallas Mavericks announced today that they have requested waivers on forward Steve Novak.

Novak (6-10, 230) signed with Dallas as a free agent on September 24 and saw action in seven games for the Mavericks this season. A native of Brown Deer, Wisconsin, Novak held averages of 1.6 points and 0.7 rebounds in 2.6 minutes per game.

The Mavericks roster now stands at 14 players.

Hawks waive Damien Wilkins

Hawks waive Damien Wilkins

The Atlanta Hawks today requested waivers on guard/forward Damien Wilkins, according to Executive Vice President/General Manager Rick Sund.

Wilkins has appeared in 13 games off the bench for Atlanta this season, averaging 2.5 ppg, 1.8 rpg, 0.7 spg and 0.6 apg (.464 FG%, .636 FT%) in 13.1 mpg. The University of Georgia product was originally signed by the Hawks on December 3, 2010.

Raptors waive Ronald Dupree

The Toronto Raptors announced Wednesday they have waived forward Ronald Dupree.

Dupree, 6-foot-7, 210 pounds was re-signed by the Raptors on December 26. He appeared in three games recording three rebounds and two points in 13 minutes.

Dupree had previously participated in summer league and training camp with the Raptors.

Toronto’s roster now stands at 14.

The Raptors continue their three-game road trip tonight in Cleveland against the Cavaliers. Game time is 7 p.m. ET at Quicken Loans Arena (Sportsnet/FAN 590).

Hornets waive Pops Mensah-Bonsu

The New Orleans Hornets announced today that they have waived forward Pops Mensah-Bonsu.

Mensah-Bonsu (6-9, 235) appeared in seven games for New Orleans this season, scoring two points and grabbing 11 rebounds in 35 minutes of action. Originally signed September 24, 2010, Mensah-Bonsu played in all eight preseason games for the Hornets, averaging 5.0 rebounds and 4.6 points in 15.4 minutes.

The North London, England native has been inactive the past 22 games for New Orleans and has six DNP-CD on the year. Originally undrafted out of George Washington University in 2006, Mensah-Bonsu has appeared in 61 games over a four-year career with the Dallas Mavericks, San Antonio Spurs, Toronto Raptors, Houston Rockets, and New Orleans Hornets, holding averages of 3.0 points and 3.0 rebounds in 8.3 minutes of play.

The Hornets roster now stands at 14.
