Pelicans foward Ryan Anderson diagnosed with herniated disc

The New Orleans Pelicans announced today that Ryan Anderson has been diagnosed with a herniated disc.

Anderson suffered the injury following a collision with Celtics forward Gerald Wallace during the fourth quarter of the January 3 game at Boston. The 6’10” forward is out indefinitely.

In 22 games this season, Anderson is averaging 19.8 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 36.1 minutes per game. The sixth-year veteran holds career averages of 12.3 points, 5.6 rebounds and 0.9 assists in 356 games.
