The New York Knicks announced today that the team has signed guard Shannon Brown for the remainder of the season.
Brown, 6-4, 210-pounds, is averaging 1.8 points over 6.4 minutes in nine games with New York and had been originally signed to the first of two 10-day contracts on Feb. 27.
The Knicks are just 28-40 this season, but recently hired Phil Jackson as their new team president, and last night beat the Indiana Pacers for their 7th win in a row.
