There’s a new Dave Chappelle set out right now on Netflix’s YouTube channel.
Perhaps it’ll be on Netflix as well, but for now anyone can see it right now on YouTube.
Entitled “8:46,” which is the amount of time a police officer kept his knee pressed on the neck of a prone George Floyd, the video is 27 minutes and 20 seconds long. Chappelle is on his usual spot on a stage, speaking in front of an intimate, physically-distanced, protective mask-wearing audience.
This is not a comedy special. While some jokes are told, Chappelle is serious, speaking on the deaths of Floyd and Eric Garner, and sounding off on other issues relating to the Black community and Black civil rights.
