Here’s the New York Post reporting on the Knicks and center Tyson Chandler, who as a collective are struggling badly this season:

Knicks center Tyson Chandler is so disillusioned, he isn’t sure he wants to be part of the team’s long-term future.

With the Knicks in chaos, owner James Dolan is going to look to rebuild or reload at season’s end. Whether Chandler, who is starting to show signs of age, is part of the blueprints is unclear. And Chandler may not want to stick around either.

“That’s something I have to visit during the offseason,’’ Chandler said. “We’re all going to have a lot of decisions to make.’’

With his contract expiring in 2015, the Knicks could shop Chandler for draft picks and another asset. Chandler eagerly signed a free-agent four-year, $65 million contract in 2011, thinking he had a chance to win a second title.

Here’s New York Newsday on the Knicks, who are stumbling badly these days:

At first it looked like an omen, the way the Bulls were roaring through the Knicks in the opening minutes. Then it turned into a problem, and then a bigger problem.

Before the Knicks caught their breath or broke a sweat, the score was 16-1, and the whole thing became another bad, bad loss.

“At this point, there really are no answers to it,” Carmelo Anthony said Sunday after the Knicks failed to get out of that instant ditch and lost to the Bulls, 109-90, at United Center. “As a team, we’ve got to have some sense of pride just to go out there and compete. It seems like we’re not even competing right now.”

Just like that first stretch of 4 minutes, 11 seconds, the recent past has become very ominous for the Knicks. They have lost six in a row and 12 of 14. Worse yet, the past three have been nationally televised blowouts.

Is the nightly toll of being the Knicks’ only consistent scoring option finally affecting Carmelo Anthony physically?

After taking several hits to his shooting hand in the loss to Golden State on Friday night, Anthony said he didn’t know the extent of the injury. It wasn’t what any Knicks fan wanted to hear. All Anthony knew at that point was how his right hand felt, which was “very sore.”

On Saturday, however, the Knicks breathed easier, calling it a bruise and saying he is expected to play Sunday afternoon in Chicago.

That represented the best possible news for the team and Anthony, who is averaging 28.2 points, 3.0 assists and a career-high 8.7 rebounds per game. He is averaging 36.2 points in his last six games, five of which were losses.

Here’s the New York Times reporting on the Knicks, who on Thursday lost to the Miami Heat. New York is now 21-37 for the season and have lost eight of their last 10 games:

Nobody needed Carmelo Anthony to confirm what everyone already knew. But given his uncertain future with the Knicks, his saying it only added to the angst that has gnawed at this team for months.

“Anything that can go wrong,” he said, “is going wrong.”

Anthony spoke roughly nine hours before the Knicks faced the Miami Heat on Thursday night at American Airlines Arena, and then — true to form in this ramshackle season — the Knicks went about their familiar business of making sure more went wrong.

What made their 108-82 loss more disheartening than usual was that they had a chance against the Heat, the N.B.A.’s two-time defending champions — at least for a while. The Knicks were rebounding and scoring, but the game disintegrated amid a flurry of LeBron James dunks and Dwyane Wade jumpers.

“We just didn’t respond,” Knicks Coach Mike Woodson said, adding, “It was like we stopped playing.”

Anthony scored 24 of his 29 points in the first half and proved incapable of sparing the Knicks from their fifth loss in six games since the All-Star break and their 10th in their last 12 games over all.

New York Knicks coach Mike Woodson said on Wednesday that he stood behind point guard Raymond Felton, who was arrested on Tuesday on gun possession charges, and that Felton would remain in the Knicks’ lineup.

“Bottom line is, Ray is part of our team,” Woodson told reporters after Wednesday’s practice, in which Felton participated.

“As his coach I’m going to support him and make sure he’s doing everything the right way from here on out, and try to get him to concentrate on basketball.”

Felton, 29, was charged after his wife’s divorce attorney took a weapon that was allegedly the player’s and was not registered in New York City to a local police station, authorities said.

The New York Knicks are pursuing a deal with free-agent forward Earl Clark, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

The Knicks are trying to sign two defensive-minded players before meeting the Miami Heat on Thursday in Miami, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

After acquiring him in a trade with the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday, Philadelphia released Clark, 26, and he cleared waivers to become a free agent.
