Denver Nuggets guard Chucky Atkins underwent successful surgery today to repair a right groin/abdominal strain – also known as a sports hernia.
The surgery was performed by Dr. Robert MacDonald at Rose Medical Center.
Atkins is expected to be sidelined for a minimum of eight weeks.
