The Brooklyn Nets have signed forward Grant Nelson to a two-way contract.
Nelson signed a 10-day contract on February 27, 2026, after initially joining the Nets on October 15, 2025. In four games as a reserve for Brooklyn last season, the 24-year-old averaged 4.3 points, 1.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.3 blocks in 8.8 minutes per game. In addition, Nelson averaged 11.1 points on 54.9 percent shooting from the field and 80.9 percent shooting from the free-throw line, 6.0 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 19.3 minutes per game while playing in 23 Tip-Off Tournament and regular season games for Brooklyn’s NBA G League club, the Long Island Nets.
He played three seasons (2020–23) at North Dakota State University and two seasons (2023–25) at the University of Alabama before turning pro. The Devils Lake, North Dakota native was named to the 2024 NCAA West Region All-Tournament Team during Alabama’s first-ever Final Four run as a senior. As a junior, he was named to the First Team All-Summit League.
