The Minnesota Timberwolves have signed forward Jonathan Kuminga.
Per ESPN, it’s a a two-year, $12.4 million deal, with a player option for the second season.
Kuminga, 23, finished his fifth NBA season this year, spending time with both the Hawks and Warriors. In 36 games (14 starts), he averaged 12.2 points on 46.3% shooting, a career-high 5.6 rebounds, and a career-high 2.3 assists in 23.1 minutes per contest.
The 6-7 forward has averaged 12.5 points on 50.2% shooting, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in 22.1 minutes per game over his 294 regular season games (98 starts) with the Hawks and Warriors.
Kuminga, a 2022 NBA champion with the Warriors, has played in 40 postseason games (four of which have been starts), averaging 8.0 points on 49.4% shooting and 1.9 rebounds in 13.6 minutes per game. During the Warriors’ 2025 Playoff run, he played an excellent playoff series against the Timberwolves, averaging 20.8 points on 54.3% from field, including 42.1% from outside the arc, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in 27.4 minutes per game. He finished the 2025 Western Conference Semifinals Game 3 against the Wolves with a playoff-career-high 30 points on 11-of-18 shooting, including 3-of-4 from outside the arc, six rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
The Warriors selected the native of Goma, Democratic Republic of the Congo, with the seventh overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft.
Kuminga will wear #24 for the Timberwolves.
