J Dilla beats mix

J Dilla was an extremely respected hip-hop producer who started off in the group Slum Village and went on to produce for tons of great artists. Unfortunately, he passed away a few years ago.

A lot of J Dilla’s most famous beats were laid back and smooth, yet lively and popping with soul.

Michael Jordan girlfriend

The Chicago Tribune reports on Michael Jordan and his girlfriend: Michael Jordan has taken a 30-year mortgage and is playing house in modest suburban Miami with his reported new paramour, Cuban model Yvette Prieto. According to Miami-Dade County records, Prieto, 30, and Jordan, 46, co-own a three-bedroom home that property-appraisal records list as having three bedrooms and 5,500 square feet. None of the neighbors called by the Palm Beach Post realized that the six-time NBA champion is on the deed of the two-story villa. Said the sexy-voiced Prieto: “I can’t talk about the house just yet. Sorry.”

Hi from the Golden Gate Bridge

Hi. I am currently in San Francisco, walking across the Golden Gate Bridge on my way to a town called Sausalito. Not sure if that’s the right spelling. Most people drive it or at least bike it, but after rainy days it’s nice out and I’m up for a walk.

No, I haven’t moved to California. Just visiting.

Hoop Reality is the sequel to the groundbreaking, Academy Award nominated 1995 documentary Hoop Dreams.Narrated by “Hoop Dreams” star Arthur Agee, “Hoop Reality” explores what happened during the last decade from where “Hoop Dreams” left off, following the original basketball hero past his dream and into reality, examining where life has carried him over the decade, and taking a look at where he is today, as the torch gets passed to the next dream seeker. Along the way he mentors and inspires the up-and-coming basketball star, Patrick Beverly, who leads his team, the Marshal Commandos, for the first time since the original Hoop Dreams, to the State Finals. New season of 24 on Fox

The new season of the Fox TV show 24 began a few days ago, and in terms of nonstop action and plot twists it’s just as fun as ever.

I was recently a bit disappointed by a two-hour 24 special called “Redemption,” but fortunately that was a one-time thing.

Fox put multiple back-to-back episodes together, so after just two days of shows they’re already four episodes deep into 24. The fifth episode is on January 19.

What makes it a fun show is how quickly the story changes. Constant drama. Almost every minute is entertaining.

24 is on Monday nights.

Soulja Boy: Her Booty Got Swag

Soulja Boy “Her Booty Got Swag” is a song that I assume is new, and I started laughing in appreciation of it just 15 or 20 seconds into the track. It’s hard to explain the amusement I get from this. It’s like enjoying a TV show that you know is total garbage, yet something about it hits you in just the right spot that gets you to keep watching. Hit the play (triangle) button below.
