Maggette scores 24, Warriors beat Blazers 105-98

The AP reports: Ronny Turiaf recorded his first double-double in nearly two years with 14 points and 11 rebounds while helping lead the Warriors to a 105-98 win over Portland on Thursday… Corey Maggette had 24 points while Jackson and Monta Ellis added 20 points apiece for Golden State, which extended its season-high win streak to three games. The Warriors also beat Portland at home for the eighth straight time… Brandon Roy scored 37 points and LaMarcus Aldridge added 20 for the Blazers, who have not won at Golden State since Nov. 3, 2004.

Rondo triple-double, Celtics beat Mavericks 99-92

The AP reports: Kevin Garnett was frustrated and sitting on the Boston bench after getting three fouls in a matter of seconds while battling with Dirk Nowitzki, Dallas’ lone All-Star. Celtics coach Doc Rivers was already in the locker room because of the same sequence late in the third quarter, ejected after two quick technical fouls… And they would go on to a physical 99-92 victory Thursday night over the Mavericks. Pierce scored 18 of his 31 points in the fourth quarter, but gave plenty of credit to his argumentative coach… Nowitzki led Dallas with 37 and Howard had 17 before fouling out. Ray Allen, playing a night after injuring his thumb in the Celtics’ victory at New Orleans, had 20 points and will play in the All-Star game still. Rajon Rondo had 19 points, 15 rebounds and 14 assists for his second career triple-double, both this season.

Beasley scores 21, Heat beat Bulls 95-93

The AP reports: Dwyane Wade found a streaking Shawn Marion for a dunk with 1.1 seconds left to give the Heat a 95-93 win over the Chicago Bulls on Thursday night. Wade, selected as a starter for the Eastern Conference in the NBA All-Star game this weekend in Phoenix, scored 24 points… Reserve Michael Beasley finished with 21 points for the Heat, who came in as a loser of five out of the last seven games… Ben Gordon finished with 34 points for Chicago.

Gordon scores 30, Clippers beat Knicks 128-124

The AP reports: Led by Eric Gordon’s 30 points, the Clippers beat the Knicks in overtime. Gordon got his points on just 16 shot attempts, and hit 4-of-8 from three-point range. Former Knick Zach Randolph had 22 points and 15 rebounds. Al Thornton had 20 with 8 rebounds. And Baron Davis shot just 5-of-17 for 13 points but dished 20 assists, with 5 turnovers. For New York, Nate Robinson shot 13-of-28 (just 2-of-11 three-pointers) for 33 points, 9 rebounds, 15 assists and 5 steals. Wilson Chandler score 27. Jared Jeffries, David Lee and Al Harrington all had double-doubles.

Roy scores 22, Blazers beat Thunder 106-92

The AP reports: Brandon Roy scored 22 points and Travis Outlaw came off the bench with 21, leading the Portland Trail Blazers to a 106-92 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday night. Greg Oden had 16 points and 10 rebounds for his rookie-leading 16th double-double of the season. Russell Westbrook had 21 points and 12 rebounds for the Thunder, while Kevin Durant had 20 points in another display of the top two picks in the 2007 NBA draft—this time with a very different result.

D-Will 31 and 11, Jazz beat Lakers 113-109

The AP reports: Deron Williams had 31 points and 11 assists and the Utah Jazz snapped the Los Angeles Lakers’ seven-game winning streak with a 113-109 victory Wednesday night… Mehmet Okur scored 22 points, CJ Miles had 17 and Ronnie Brewer added 16 to give the injury-plagued Jazz their fourth win in the last five games… Lamar Odom had 19 points and 19 rebounds, but the Lakers allowed the Jazz to shoot a season-high 58.6 percent.

Yao, Alston carry Rockets past Kings 94-82

The AP reports: Yao Ming had 24 points and 18 rebounds, Rafer Alston dished out a season-high 13 assists and the Rockets won again without McGrady, beating the Sacramento Kings 94-82 on Wednesday night. Luis Scola added 19 points and 11 rebounds and Ron Artest scored 19 for the Rockets, who improved to 12-6 with McGrady out of the lineup this season. .. Kevin Martin scored 18 points and rookie Jason Thompson added 14 in the game for the Kings, who’ve lost five in a row and 13 of 14. The Kings hit 11 of their first 18 shots to build an early lead. The 6-foot-11 Thompson scored 10 points on 5-for-6 shooting in the first 9 minutes, but then went to the bench with two fouls.

Jefferson scores 32, Bucks beat Pacers 122-110

The AP reports: Ramon Sessions scored 15 points and added a season-high 17 assists, and Richard Jefferson scored 22 of his 32 points in the second half, leading Milwaukee to a 122-110 win over Indiana on Wednesday night. Milwaukee (26-29) tied its win total from last season and improved to 2-1 without starters Michael Redd (knee), Andrew Bogut (back) and Luke Ridnour (thumb). Sessions is averaging 28.3 points per game and 12 assists in the starting role… Troy Murphy scored 23 points and Jack had 21, but Indiana fell short again after a wild win over Cleveland on Tuesday night because the Pacers allowed the Bucks to shoot 53 percent.

Pierce scores 30, Celtics beat Hornets 89-77

The AP reports: Not even the return of the Hornets’ Chris Paul or the departure of Boston’s Ray Allen could stop the Celtics from winning yet again on the road. Paul Pierce scored 30 points and the Celtics won their eighth straight away from home, 89-77 over New Orleans on Wednesday night. The victory was even sweeter for the Celtics in light of recent losses at home to two other top Western Conference teams, the Los Angeles Lakers and San Antonio Spurs… Kevin Garnett added 14 points and 10 rebounds, and Eddie House scored eight of his 12 points in the final period to help Boston pull away despite the absence of Allen, who hyperextended his right thumb in the first half.

Joe Johnson 27 points, Hawks beat Pistons 99-95

The AP reports: Joe Johnson scored 27 points and Flip Murray had 23 Wednesday night, leading Atlanta to a 99-95 win over Detroit… Allen Iverson scored 26 for the Pistons, who fell a game under .500 since he joined the lineup… Detroit’s Richard Hamilton scored 14, Rodney Stuckey and Tayshaun Prince each scored 12 and Antonio McDyess added 10 points and 10 rebounds. Rasheed Wallace didn’t play for the last 16-plus minutes and finished with nine points and seven rebounds.
