Indiana Pacers guard/forward Glenn Robinson III underwent surgery Friday for a repair of medial and lateral ligaments in his left ankle. The surgery was performed by the Pacers’ medical staff at Orthopedic Indiana Hospital.
Robinson III is expected to return in approximately three to four months.
This evaluation will be updated as warranted through the rehabilitation process.
The Portland Trail Blazers have waived guards Isaiah Briscoe, Archie Goodwin and Anthony Morrow, it was announced today by president of basketball operations Neil Olshey.
All three players were signed to training camp contracts last month.
Briscoe, 21, averaged 6.2 points, 1.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 11.1 minutes in six games (one start) for the Trail Blazers this preseason.
Goodwin, 23, posted preseason averages of 6.2 points, 1.6 rebounds, 0.6 assists and 10.4 minutes in five games.
Morrow, 32, finished the preseason averaging 4.8 points, 0.2 rebounds, 0.4 assists and 10.2 minutes in five games.
Portland’s roster stands at 14 players entering the season opener on Oct. 18 at Phoenix.
The Chicago Bulls announced today that the team has waived forward Jaylen Johnson and guard Bronson Koenig.
Chicago’s roster now stands at 18.
The Orlando Magic have waived guard Kalin Lucas and forward Damjan Rudez (DAHM-yahn ROO dezh), President of Basketball Operations Jeff Weltman announced today.
Rudež appeared in four games during the preseason with the Magic, averaging 0.8 ppg. in 8.8 minpg. He played in 45 outings last season with Orlando, averaging 1.8 ppg. in 7.0 minpg. Rudež was originally signed as a free agent on Septemner 8, 2016.
Lucas played in five games during the preseason with Orlando, averaging 2.0 ppg. in 6.7 minpg. He was originally signed as a free agent on August 31, 2017.
Orlando’s roster now stands at 16 players.
Charlotte Hornets General Manager Rich Cho announced today that the team has waived Terry Henderson, Isaiah Hicks, Luke Petrasek and T.J. Williams.
Henderson, a 6-4 guard, spent his final two seasons at North Carolina State after transferring from West Virginia. The Raleigh, N.C. native appeared in two exhibition games for the Hornets totaling eight points, four rebounds and two assists in 38.5 minutes of play.
Hicks, a 6-9 forward from North Carolina, appeared in 151 career games, helping the Tar Heels win the 2017 NCAA National Championship. He appeared in one exhibition game for the Hornets recording two minutes of play.
Petrasek, a 6-10 forward from Columbia University, earned Second Team All-Ivy League Honors during the 2016-17 season. The four-year college player did not appear in any preseason games with Charlotte.
Williams, a 6-4 guard from Northeastern, played in 151 career games with the Huskies, and averaged a team-high and CAA-leading 21.4 points per game during his senior season in 2016-17. He appeared in three exhibition games with the Charlotte Hornets during the preseason averaging 1.3 points, 0.7 rebounds and 0.7 steals in 10.1 minutes per game.
The Hornets roster now stands at 16 players, which includes the two players that have signed two-way contracts.
The Golden State Warriors have waived guard Michael Gbinije and forward Georges Niang, the team announced today.
Gbinije appeared in four games, averaging 3.3 points in 7.5 minutes per game. Niang played in four games, averaging 4.0 points in 9.8 minutes per game.

The Atlanta Hawks have requested waivers on Tyler Cavanaugh, Quinn Cook and Jeremy Evans, the team announced today.
The Utah Jazz have signed free agent forward Kendall Pollard.
Pollard (6-6, 230, Dayton) appeared in 26 games (24 starts) as a senior in 2016-17, owning averages of 14.0 points on 52.5 percent from the field, 5.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.5 steals in 25.9 minutes per contest. Named to the 2017 All-Atlantic-10 Third Team, Pollard ranked third in the conference in field goal percentage, helping the squad to a 24-8 record, a conference regular season championship and a NCAA Tournament appearance.
Over his four years at Dayton, Pollard appeared in 125 career games (76 starts) with averages of 9.4 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.0 assists, helping lead the team to the NCAA Tournament in four-straight seasons (2013-17), including a trip to the 2014 Elite Eight. As a sophomore in 2014-15, the Chicago native earned the Atlantic-10 Most Improved Player Award.
The 22-year-old attended Simeon Career Academy in Chicago and was a member of the 2013, 2012 and 2011 Illinois 4A State Championship teams.
The Orlando Magic have waived guards Troy Caupain (CO-pain) and Rodney Purvis, President of Basketball Operations Jeff Weltman announced today. Orlando’s roster now stands at 18 players (see below).
Caupain and Purvis did not appear in any preseason games with the Magic. Caupain was originally signed as a free agent on August 31, while Purvis was signed as a free agent on October 9.
