The Blazers have to be considered the most vulnerable of all the higher seeds. They don't have Nurkic, and CJ only recently returned from injury. One of the best home teams in the NBA, so OKC will like their chances if they win one of the first two games.

I'm not giving the Blazers any excuses. Nurkic was a huge part of the team but one player shouldn't stop you from winning a first round series. This is still a team game. The better team has to prove it. If Stotts can't get out of the first round I'd consider firing him.

He has to win at least 2 games from OKC. Time for Lillard ans Stotts to step up.

Oklahoma City Thunder vs Portland Blazers
The Thunder has fallen off since the All-Star break, but they’ve managed to claw back up to the sixth seed, facing their best possible opponent in the Blazers. The Thunder won the season series, 4-0 and now the Blazers are hobbled: Nurkic is out, McCollum is not at full strength, and Lillard has a busted right hand. Then again, Paul George is not 100 percent himself, having two bad shoulders, so this might go the distance.
Oklahoma City, 4-2

Imagine if OKC doesn't win this series... would be a massive disaster for the organization

I mean to acquire a superstar like PG and have the best supporting role players they've ever had in OKC and not make it out of the 1st round... just wow

Durant's impact is so underrated and underappreciated by all walks of fans who don't actually know the game. The fact that they replaced KD with a 2-way superstar, Westbrook supposedly at his best, have a better head coach and better role players... yet 1st round fodder to an injured Portland team? 3 straight 1st round exits without KD? It's already been a disaster without him and him leaving OKC has already been well justified because it's proven Westbrook's style either as 1st or 2nd option is nowhere near conducive to winning anything of relevance, but losing to a shitty Portland team would really put the cherry on top of a disastrous management of talent over the years. Prioritizing Ibaka over Harden in 2012 may very well be the worst decision in the history of professional basketball. The difference between a dominant dynasty and a team who will literally never win a championship. Yikes. :confusedshrug:

really fear for OKC and PG's shoulder here

At first I was leaning towards OKC but I think the Blazer's depth will outlast them in 6. Then you add in PG's shoulder and Chuckbrook's broken jumpshot and they may be in for an early summer.

At first I was leaning towards Portland but I think I have a brain and realize I'm not a troll with an agenda. OKC in 6.

Yeah. I will say that Westbrook is clearly not the same player he was between 2014-2017. When he was scoring at around 53-55 TS% he was a legitimate top five or so level player. Now that he's shooting at 50 TS%, there's a dramatic reduction in his impact. He's just not a good scorer anymore, so the expectations shoudn't even be the same. He's a top 15-20 player now.
