This is a little off topic but I feel it's worth pointing out. Ever since the D-League affiliate system began a few seasons ago, the Clippers have never assigned a single player to the D-League.
We've done pretty well as far as utilizing D-League talentand calling players up, but I don't understand why we never send players down. It's not a bad thing to be sent down. Some of our young guys could've really benefitted over the years. My best example is probably Yaroslav Korolev, but there's a lot more.
Anyway, I see the box scores of players like DeAndre Jordan and I can't help but wonder why we don't use the D-League. Don't get me wrong: I love the Jordan pick and think he has a future with this team, but I don't think he's ready yet. I think the D-League is the perfect place for a raw player like Jordan to develop, and I can't understand why we don't use it.
