finally gave this is a shot.

i have to admit, it being disney and all... my expectations were rock bottom. i fully expected a bunch of talentless woke garbage. i have to say though, it was kind of decent. the characters resemble themselves and the woke stuff only comes in small bits. it's annoying but it's easy to overlook.

the voice acting though... yikes. i appreciate that they went back to the original cast but some of them really sound their age. it kind of throws you off.

all in all, pretty good i have to say. although i suspect they are setting up morph to have some kind of gay crush on wolverine.

I'm surprised they didn't try to tweak a few of the voices.

One of my fave games ever! Loved the animations for moves (e.g. fireball) compared to the traditional Street Fighter games. Who remembers the Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter game? It came after this one and before Marvel vs. Capcom.

X-men '97 is great. Reminds me very much of the original with even better animation.

I'm glad they didn't do a remake and picked up where they left off in 1997. I am sick of remakes at this point.

Oh come on. This is clearly Axe, continuing to humor himself.

A very old an inactive account, suddenly becoming active by creating a wrestling related thread, after I bumped the RIP Virgil thread, which caused a mini meltdown from Axe. And then makes this posts, to pretend that they're casually just happen to be posting, but feels like a host of a tv show, trying to get everyone involved.

Anyway, X-Men vs Street Fighter. I remember when that game came out for the original Final Burn. Every few weeks they would add a new game, after cracking the encryption or something. Arcade games for free. Cool times. And I think I downloaded using dialup. I had Windows ME.

The first four episodes were pretty good, you see how the animation and the show had improved.

Episode Five....this was supposed to be a kids show

What was inappropriate? I have seen nothing so far that I wouldn't consider for a kid.

In the old days Turtles couldn't use their weapons...Spidey couldn't punch...all of Batman's villains had to use gas.

The last episode had a guy getting impaled while spitting blood.

I own a Saturn and Dreamcast specifically for ALL the CAPCOM fighting games.
