Lamar Odom dating Khloe Kardashian

Janis Carr of the Orange County Register reports (via blog): Reality TV star (and we use that term loosely) Khloe Kardashian will be the newest celeb Lakers fan sitting courtside, thanks to her boyfriend Lamar Odom. “They’re very, very happy,” the Kourtney & Khloe Take Miami star’s sister, Kim Kardashian, tells PEOPLE magazine. “They’ve been together a few weeks, and are literally inseparable. Khloe thinks he’s amazing and makes her laugh and smile constantly.”

InsideHoops.com editor says: As fun as Kim looks, my favorite Kardashian girl is Kourtney.

Shaq guest-host on WWE wrestling show Monday Night Raw

NBA star Shaquille O’Neal is a guest host tonight on the famous WWE wrestling show “Monday Night Raw,” which is nationally televised. This week’s edition takes place in Washington D.C.

It began with wrestling legend Jerry Lawler introducing Shaq to fans, mistakenly calling him “a 15-time NBA MVP.”

Then, current wrestling star Chris Jericho came out, insulting Shaq, saying that he heard a top NBA superstar was coming out and naturally assumed it was Kobe Bryant, not Shaq.

Jericho’s friend (and tag team partner) “The Big Show” was introduced and stood face to face with Shaq. Big Show is about 7 feet tall and listed at 485 pounds. In all my years I’ve never seen Shaq as the smaller dude. (Yao Ming is taller than Shaq, but Shaq’s still the bigger dude.)

Big Show called Shaq a toothpick. Shaq called him “Fat Boy” in return.

Naturally, Shaq didn’t exchange blows with anyone. He’s just there to guest-host and stay healthy for the 2009-10 NBA season as a new member of the Cleveland Cavaliers.

About 40 minutes into the show, Hornswoggle, a “little person” Irish wrestling character dressed like a tiny leprechaun came into a room Shaq was in backstage. Shaq joked that they went to high school together, then invited Hornswoggle to dunk on a lowered basket. “Come on, Nate Robinson” said Shaq, encouraging the little fellow.

The show began at 9 p.m. ET on USA network.

Dirk Nowitzki is heartbroken

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram (Eddie Sefko) reports: Dirk Nowitzki said in a German publication that he still wants to have a family, but that “it will not be easy to win my heart” after his relationship with former fiancée Cristal Taylor ended with a rocky, emotional split. Nowitzki spoke openly about his romance with Taylor for the first time to Bild Magazine. He covered numerous aspects of their time together, including how they met and their wedding plans, in question-and-answer format… “In the beginning, I was very down and disappointed, sad and furious,” Nowitzki said. “But I made a few steps forward and I think someday I will be over it totally.”

SNL Andy Samberg: Like a Boss

Saturday Night Live and Andy Samberg occasionally have some funny rap song parodies. And SNL Like a Boss, featuring Seth Rogan, definitely hits the target.

Click below for Andy Samberg and SNL’s Like a Boss video clip, while it’s still available on youtube:

Note that that there are some lyrics and visuals in here that aren’t work-safe. Nothing crazy, but generally this is for 18 and older people.

New Eminem song: We made you

There’s a new Eminem song out called “We made you.”

Word is, Eminem is going to release a full studio album. This will be on it.

The InsideHoops.com opinion of this song is that it’s catchy, but sounds exactly like lots of his stuff we’ve already heard in the past.

For those of you at work, bits of this video aren’t particularly work-safe. Nothing too crazy, though.

Here’s the video for Eminem’s new song. It’s cut off after just under 3 minutes, but you get the idea:

24 season 7 review

Note: There are no spoilers here at all. This is an extremely generalized 24 show review.

I’m catching up on the TV show 24 on Fox, Season 7, and with a few episodes to go until I’m up to the current one, it’s just as much fun as previous seasons.

What makes 24 so entertaining is the quickness of the plot developments. Because each season takes place in a day (each episide is an hour of ‘real time’), the action moves so quickly there’s a major twist literally every few minutes.

My only problem with the current season is similar to an issue I’ve had in the past: There are always at least one or two somewhat major characters whose stupidity transcends what is believable. And that’s definitely the case this season. Without spoiling anything, one or two of the dozen or so main characters have a somewhat absurd hangup with star Jack Bauer, in a way that makes you want to yell “Are you retarded?!?” at the TV screen.

Now, in a show like this, it’s common to expect that in order to full enjoy it you need to suspend reality and just let yourself sink into the episodes. That’s par for the course. But even with these few characters, it’s done in a great manner; you still want to tune in, just to see if those people smarten up. I’m sure the writers do it on purpose.

But, just when something annoys you, a minute later something wild and unexpected happens that draws you right back to the edge of your seat.

I consider 24 to be one of the select few must-see action shows on television.

Review: Bridget’s Sexiest Beaches

bridget's sexiest beachesBRIDGEST’S SEXIEST BEACHES REVIEW

Bridget’s Sexiest Beaches is a new show on the travel channel.

A beautiful blond impossible to avoid gawking at, Bridget Marquardt travels to beautiful, tropical beach destinations, bounces around and giggles as the locals show her around.

I’ve seen two episodes of the show so far and both focus on exactly what you’d want from a beach-focused travel show: amazing scenery and tours of all the hot spots worth visiting in places like Australia, Croatia, Jamaica, Turks and Caicos, Thailand and elsewhere.

According to the Travel Channel’s official site, Bridget has a B.A. in communications from California State University Sacramento and a masters degree in communications from the University of the Pacific in Stockton.

Bridget’s Sexiest beaches is a must-watch if you enjoy shows about paradise with amazing nature, ocean views and a lovable, half-naked blond who every guy on the planet would love to have as a travel partner.
