Griffin

I never really played basketball myself, so I'm not sure how developing a player works and all, but how long do you guys think it'll be until Griffin develops a midrange game.

Every time they pass him the ball more than 5 feet away from the basket, he seems to turn his back to the defender, and just pass the ball back out. I haven't really seen him be able to get past defenders in the half court.

Re: Griffin

this is a good question. It takes big men a lot longer to develop than gards and Griffin has shown signs already of a mid range jump shot but it's really hit or miss. If he is really working on it he could have it in the next year or so but if it's not his priority it can be a while. Jason Kidd really developed his 3 point shot in about 6 months and is now one of the top 3 point shooters in the league, he use to be awful.

He'll probably get it in a year or two.. look at his work ethic.

If Griffin develops a mid range jumper he would be impossible to stop! Think Hakeem with trampolines stuck on his shoes!

Re: Griffin

On all the interviews during this off season Griffin has said his priority is his jump shot. So, it maybe sooner than later when he will have that consistent jump shot. That will make him unguardable. He will easily score 25-30ppg. His jump shot was hit and miss in his rookie year. When it was going down..it was great. When not it limited his game, but he was still great.
