Analyze Kyle Singler's game

What do you think of Kyle Singler as a player?

Here's a bit on his situation: http://www.insidehoops.com/blog/?p=14429

A team player with a high IQ. Unfortunately, just not athletic enough for this league to be a starter. Could have made up for it with a consistent, deep shot. Doesn't have it.

It's like reading his scouting report from when he was drafted. Everything still applies. Average player off the bench. But I like him due to his attitude. Always says the right thing. Would love to see him step his game up off the bench this year, but as you wrote ISH, there isn't much room for him anywhere on this roster.

That about nails it. He's a nice 10th man to have due to his effort and IQ. Hopefully he can keep improving his 3 point shooting.

I have to agree with everybody on this one. 10th man sounds about right. For the money he's a guy that you don't mind on your team. Somebody needs to have a league minimum type contract and you just hope those people have something they can offer. Singler has a bit to offer at that price point, but he's definitely just a bench player in the league.

Not a starter at all - but one of the hustle type players all teams love to have. Will never take a play off, will always give 110%, super scrappy, super hungry. This alone gets him to be a fringe bench player - and like everyone has mentioned, has a decent outside game, but if he can step it up in this area and become a "knockdown" 3 point player, he will have a long career.

I remember how Dorell Wright all of a sudden went from decent 3pt shooter off the bench to just about leading the league in 3pts made in just one offseason. He sunk 12 three pointers in total in his first 5 seasons and then sunk 194 three pointers in his 7th season...

We need a player like Singler on our team, we just need him to develop his deep game...
