The Official trade KG countdown thread
OK here are some key NBA dates:
6th July 2006:
Start of summer league in Las Vegas
12th July 2006:
Free agents can be signed
I'll add the T-Wolves schedule once it is released, and we can count the losses until KG is traded, if he isn't dealt before then.
The best case scenario will be if KG is playing really well, and his team is losing, and Tyrus Thomas shows flashes of potential.
I'm going to subscribe to this, and keep bumping it after every game. It's a little early to make it, but we can have al lthe KG trade talk in here. So put your KG trade ideas in here, and keep them off the main board.
Jeff can you please put any KG trade rumours in this thread please?
Possible homes for the spindle-shanked star:
Put forward your KG trades now!
I'm going out car shopping for an hour, so you guys better do some work in here, or else!
(Sorry FBI, that wasn't an internet threat, I promise)
Come to Chi-Town KG :)
Lakers all the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and some dude who's name probably doesn't matter....
KG to Sac town! Put it in the bank!
The Wolves can have any player off the Knicks, and I mean any.
But are they gonna want to take anyone???
I don't say that to be totally mean but seriously....
KG won't be going to any city that doesn't have championship po'. This man has been through crap and the WC Finals! Why would he just take $ to go elsewhere? He's made his chedda. Rings are else now..
bum to be named later
Wizards can make a legit package for KG that doesn't involve Butler or Arenas. I don't think anyone can deny that that has championship potential, one of the best Big 3s ever (I don't mean like top 5 ever, don't jump on me, but really damn good).
I think that Kevin Garnett really had a bright future with Detroit. Now that Big Ben has gotten traded there, I don't think that the hopes of kG going there are very high:mad:
Not sure where KG will be, but I will be at Las Vegas Summer league all next week.
The TWolves rid themselves of a huge amount of salary, and 3 players that are worthless in comparison to their big fat bloated contracts. Rose and Taylor come off the cap at the end of the 2006/07 season, but the Wolves would probably just waive them, to increase their odds of winning the best big man lottery in a long time. They also get some players that are quility starting material to pair up with Randy Foye. This deal is probably the biggest contract dumping deal in history.
CT: Frye/ Griffin/ Taylor
PF: Lee/ Madsen/ MRose
SF: Hassell/ JRose
SG: Davis/ McCants
PG: Foye/ Collins/ Robinson
The Knicks get KG. Assuming the deal for Larry Hughes goes down:
CT: Curry/ Blount/ James
PF: Garnett/ Butler
SF: Richardson/ Balkman
SG: Hughes/ Crawford
PG: Marbury/ Jaric/ Hudson
