What do the Blazers need.

As a Cavs fan you guys have the two things we need a B/U center (Raef, Magloire,Raef) and upgrade at point (Jack, Dixon, Roy maybe not Roy) what are the Blazers needs other then getting rid of Miles and Randolph.

Bricklayer 08-02-2006 04:09 PM

I think the Blazers just need time. Keep the team and see how it works. Randolph probably won't get equal value back for the Blazers so I'd keep him around and if it still doesn't work, take the hit and trade for a good role player. The young guns are the ones who'll be the stars of the future. Time and experience is all this team needs. Sit back and wait for the investments come to fruition.

Rapsfan4life 08-05-2006 08:04 PM

KF4L 08-06-2006 04:04 PM

guards. Bottom line. They have no good ones

Jerballers 08-06-2006 05:47 PM

Heres what i think the blazers need to do
1) get rid of Miles and get a good point gaurd possibly miles for marco jaric and a pick.
2) trade pryzbilla or one of the centers so Aldrige can develope and get a sf who won't run his mouth.
3) play roy, aldrige, webster a lot so the can develope and be alot better for next season

that is just three so tell me what you think:pimp:

I think BrickLayer said it best. Aside from Randolph and Miles, the Blazers just need time to learn, grow, and gel together. They have a lot of young a capable talent. Jarrett Jack is an amazing on court leader and has a lot of skill as a true PG, Roy is a very good scorer who is much better suited at SG, Webster has a nice J and could benefit w/ a switch to the SF position. The Bigs all look pretty promising as well. The future of the Blazers are Jack, Roy, Webster, and Aldridge (although he will be out for 6-8 weeks from shoulder surgery).

so you don't think that Roy is an explosive guard?

AKADS 08-26-2006 06:13 AM

Roy is not an explosive gaurd he is a very well rounded player. He reminds me of an Eddie Jones type player. I think Roy will be a solid NBA player for yrs and average 16 - 18 points 4 - 6 rebounds and Assists 1.5 - 2 steals give u very good D. be consitent but not a wow factor. That is why team like the Lakers and cavs were so high on him.

Do the Blazers have any intrest in getting a home town boy in Luke Jackson back.

benisjamin33 08-28-2006 03:11 AM

i think roy isn't going to be like a freddie jones type of guy, but more like a jason kidd. He will be able to make plays with his excellent passing, be one of the best rebounding gaurds and still get at least 18 a night

fer sure...except dixon instead of jack...that would kill...does the money match up?

Nygher 08-29-2006 07:33 PM

Roy will be like Eddie Jones like already stated. He has a good shot and can drive to the hoop when needed or forced too.

What the Blazers need is experiance and to ship out the two remaining tumors on the team in Randolph and Miles. They will never get equal value for both of them individually but if you package them then you may be able to get a good play maker at the PF position, but there arn't many players out there right now like that. They could've packaged Randolph and Miles and traded for Marion in the off-season. That would've been sweet and have Marion play PF till Aldridge returns then move Magloire to starting PF with LaFrentz backing up Przybilla and Aldridge backing up Magloire

The line ups would look like this

Jack
Roy
Marion
Magloire
Przybilla

Dickau
Dixon
Webster
Aldridge
LaFrentz

In my opion, that team would have the potential to be in the late running for the 8th play off seed in 07-08

But like I said, that would be a fantasy. At least try for draft picks for Randolph and accept the Knicks offer of Q. Rich or Rose for Miles because thats the best offer they will get for an under acheiving, over payed, ego maniac.

benisjamin33 08-29-2006 08:25 PM

what in the hell are you talking about? they couldn't have got marion. Why would the suns traded a all-star forward for two underachieving forwards?
