Denver will never win a championship under Karl!
And here is why:
http://www.denverstiffs.com/2008/02/...osions-in.html So much talent...wasted under this guy. :banghead: They need to get rid of this guy before he screws us all by recommending trading away all of our favorite players on the team. Karl has already stated that "Any current Nuggets player could get traded this summer". If he remains with Denver, then I believe things will only continue to get worse. Think about it, no way in hell can both Melo + Karl coexist together anymore, it has already reached the boiling point. If he remains then Melo will most likely leave and if they were to actually trade away Melo then do you really think Iverson would stay with the team anymore? He'll probably opt out and sign with a team he knows will either contend or at least make the playoffs. AI knows that he can't do it by himself, he has already tried it with Philly and if they decide to trade away the player that made him come to Denver in the 1st place, no way in hell does he stay. As of now, the only offer for Melo is supposedly this http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/ba..._in_deal_.html Talk about a sh*tty offer huh? Wether it's true or not, I could definetly see it happening, afterall they(Denver) did welcome Karl back didn't they? talk about dumb.:hammerhead: Anyways, if Melo and AI leaves, then no way does J.R. stay, he along with KMart, hate Karl's guts, but Kmart isn't going to leave because he is making around $11 million next year.... as if he'll ever be worth that much again. So, who's left once Melo, AI, J.R, and possibly Camby are gone? Kleiza? Nene?? Atkins??? AC??? KMart??? maybe, even Jefferson??? and a couple of 1st round picks that'll get this team nowhere any time soon, assuming the Melo-Jefferson trade were to happen of course. I'm convinced that Karl, no matter how much talent his team has, will never win a championship, take a look at the USA team he coached back in 2002 again, with all the talent on the team, the best he got them to was 6th place??:lol Karls words after losing to Spain back in 2002 for 5th place in FIBA World Championship : Quote:

Anyways, I'm not saying all this will happen, but it can and it might happen and if it were to happen then this team could go back to becoming a lottery team all over again, before drafting Carmelo. |
Re: Denver will never win a championship under Karl!
right on the money- sick is a great way to describe how it is to watch this happen- how is this possible
karl did the worst coaching job in the history of basketball- not the nba... the entire sport of basketball- worse than the worst 7th grade girls b team coach who starts and plays his 12-13th man 30 minutes a game at the most important position on the floor? take the names and numbers off their backs and any coach in the world when given this roster would have iverson as its point gaurd and jr as the shooting gaurd- you have to make that happen, its the roster you have to deal with- for his "bosses" to not fire him for not using the roster he was given sets off a fishy smell right there- the nuggets were the best open gym basketball team in the world- that stuff dont work in the playoffs -george karl still coaching this team is sickening, and i agree that things could get worse |
Re: Denver will never win a championship under Karl!
It's just kind of depressing to see our great players wasting away some of their best years under Karl, I was kind of hoping for Carmelo to get traded just so that he could get some proper coaching and respect.
It is obvious from some of Karl's comments, like when he said he liked practice more than games, or when he said that the Nuggets were "maybe a top 15 team" that he is incapable of coaching a team. But the main thing that REALLY gets me pissed off about Karl is how he said that we need to take the regular season more seriously so we can get a better first round matchup. Oh, great, so his goal is to get past the first round? What then? A loss in the second round? At this rate it's going to take him 20 years to get us to a western conference finals! |
Re: Denver will never win a championship under Karl!
Karl hasn't gotten along with many of his star players in the past and he won't be getting along with Melo, A.I., K-Mart, and even J.R. any time soon. His coaching resume seems pretty decent, but a coach needs to be more involved with his players. Last year George Karl hated J.R. and you could see it. Now that I've thought about it George Karl is probably not the best coach for the Nuggets. If J.R. played like he did at the end of last season without Karl, imagine how he would play a whole season without Karl! When the Adrian Dantley was coaching the Nuggets that one game last season we actually played like a team!
Krayzie, sorry about the Melo post, but I just wanted to see what would happen to Melo! and George Karl is a good coach, but not for a team like the Nuggets, maybe the Knicks.:D |
