Just an Idea...

But I think the Hawks could benefit from signing Keith Van Horn. They have plenty of guys 6-9 plus. Smith, Childress, the Williams', Pachulia and Wright, but adding Van Horn would give them another dimension. He can draw out the PF or C opening up the court for Smith and Johnson. Just a thought...

Not a bad idea. They're kinda weak at the 4 anyway. I could see this as a hugh benefit for the Hawks. Van Horn has proven many times in his career that he can be a piece to a championship team. Like when he was in the NBA finals with the Nets in 2002 and Mavs in 2006. So yeah i agree with you. I believe he should be signed with the Hawks.

KVH mins would be limited on this team. He could be useful. Looking over our roster and how the depth chart would look. Hawks really don't need KVH. He will cut into the mins of the young players. Which is something we cannot have happen. It is in the best interest of this team and the future of this team team that the young players be allowed to play instead of Vets taking their mins.. There is just no room for him on the team.

he could be a useful asset. His shooting and size would be great on the Hawks.

I wouldn't sign Van Horn. His outside shooting would be helpful, but with JJ, Salim, Childress, and Lue, they already have shooters. What the Hawks need to do is get an athletic shot blocker ala like the guy they used to have in Ratliff...Van Horn would just take time away from Marvin Williams who needs to get on the court to develop
