perfect fit

if you could have anybody, who would be the perfect fit at pg and pf/c and why?

hm...

For ATL the perfect point guard prob would have to be either TJ Ford or someone like Early Boykins. They would have been easier to acquire, but idealy Allen Iverson would really help. He would take so much of the defense's attention and also give them a definate scorer at crunch time.
At center, the Hawks could really use and athletic shotblocker/rebounder. Some guys that fit the bill are Nene, Marcus Camby, Dan Gadzuric, Sam Dalembert or Tyson Chandler...they can get out and run

I think kenyon Martin would be a good big man for your team. You could probably also get Jason Williams for a song. That would fill both holes well.

Imagine how great chris paul would be, dishing to all the kids at the exact spots they can actually make shots

If Paul was with the Hawks last year, they would of made the playoffs. Period

Since you did say anyone I John Stockton. He would bring it to the table everyday and was great with big men such as the mailman. However, seeing as that would not happen I would take Steve Nash. The Hawks should have made a bigger push to acquire this all-star,mvp PG a few years ago when he was a free agent however, they were not as serious as developing a successful team as they are now.

Personally, i think a scoring pg would fit seamlessly into what their trying to do. That is unless marvin turns into a beast immediately. iverson would have been great next to joe. Joe Johnson is probably the best second option in the nba possible. his fit in phx should show that. an ai and joe johnson backcourt, athleticism everywhere else, and a defensive specialist at center. out of all the scoring pgs, ai is the only one really worth the money.

I do like the speedy claxton move tho, but he's a backup, a very good one.

PG - Andre Miller - pass first, team oriented PG, with leadership and experience that would perfectly fit young Hawks and JJ in the backcourt...

C - Marcus Camby - Big defender/shot blocker/rebounder, runs floor well and has decent offensive game. He also has experience and leadership qualities...

I believe that these two would most adequatelly address Hawks' needs and turn Hawks into contenders... just thinking out loud.
