Nets will be a favored destination when they do move to Brooklyn.
Damn NJ is close to NY, either way isn't Melo from Brooklyn?

not for the Lakers. Joe Smith plays good defense, can shoot and is a smart player. He will be able to come in for 10 minutes, play defense, rebound and hit a couple a jumpers if needed. That is all they need from him

Born in Brooklyn, but Baltimore is where he's really from. Joe Smith, former number 1 overall pick xD

Agreed, but when Ratliff comes back he ticks the majority of these boxes himself. I understand it must be a luxury tax issue for the Lakers, but I think this is a backwards step. Vujacic may be an idiot, but he knows the system, hits free throws and is useful when Shannon Brown loses form.

If it helps gets the nets a star player I don't mind. If it does not though I will be upset. The Nets need slashers who can create their own shot if they have to.
And to everyone bagging the Lakers for this. it was obviously a financial trade.
At least we get THE MACHINE LoL

Good? Probably not good but will contribute way more and Joe and actually play.
DJ Mbenga
Leon Powe
Darrel Arthur
Ian Mahinimi
Shelden Williams
Joey Dorsey
DJ White
Hilton Armstrong
These are some bigman they could get and would get minutes and are under 1.5 mil. I could find players who'd contribute way more even with earning a little more than 1.5 mil.
Joe Smith is 35 and injured. He also can't play D for shit. I doubt he gets minutes.
