Re: can Biyombo still grow?
There's some uncertainty as to his age,. He might be 28.

Yeah you plant him on fertile ground and water him regularly.

doubtful that he's 28, but can't teams nowadays do tests to determine age?

Not to the kind of accuracy that would distinguish between an 18 year old and, say, a 23 or 25 year old.

I really don't understand this kids hype. I would take Tristan Thompson, who isn't even an NBA level starter IMO, over this kid.

All the clubs in Spain think he is in his early to mid 20s.

Some doctor apparently did some sorta tests, bone growthplates in his wrist or something, and said the results are consistent with an 18 year old. Of course you gotta figure out who hired the doctor, which I don't know.
I don't know how hold he is, but I do think he's over 18. Not just his frame but his mental makeup. He's apparently extremely acute and mature.

Yes, they can. All the NBA teams have been given a password to a site with all of Biyombo's information including scientific tests that prove he can't be older than 18, maybe 19. It has to with his bones and how they look at that age when you are still growing. So that makes you wonder if he could grow for sure.
no doubt this kid is a man, but most speculate that it is because he had to grow up a lot earlier than other people.

he does, but its hard to document age in a lot of places. So, he has documentation that says hes 18 and thats what hes sticking with. And, yes, some doctor who studied him has said that his epiphyseal plates (the places between the shaft and joint where bone growth occurs that fuse with age) were consistent with an 18 yr old IIRC.

Many people keep growing into their 20s. It is complete BS that every male stops growing at age 18. He could have had an open growth plate at 22-23. It does mean that he was 17 at the time.
