Hell no. Miami shits on any city in the US, but its so damn expensive to live there it's uncomfortable.

Miami is so damn over rated it's not even funny. The cost of living is high for such little value. The people are crappy too. Superficial and just not nice at all. Bad attitudes all over the place...oh and learn Spanish. Lots of people are too lazy to learn English.

But there are tons of american cities I would rather live in.

whats your criteria for determining what the best city is?

if you're into great food, amazing produce, diverse cultures, camping/hiking, clean living, moderate weather, low crime rates, and just a high quality of life the pacific northwest is where you want to be i.e. San Francisco/Portland/Seattle.

I am bias to San Francisco as to me it's by far the most European city in North America and can offer something for everyone. Anyone who thinks SF is gay and full of liberals clearly hasn't been here. Austin freaking Texas is more liberal then San Francisco.

I grew up on the East Coast and those cities are full of character and have a lot to offer in their own right but don't quite compare when you factor in the diversity both culturally and geographically along with just the overall quality of life.

I think Quebec city is definitely a lot more European especially old Quebec.

SF is an outrageously expensive place to live. but i guess thats why its nice, unless you are a family person. ive read its a very difficult place to have children as everything about the place is about entrepreneurship.

Not true at all. Chicago is great, but best in everything? Not really. FTR I lived there for 4 years and my brother lived there for 15.

Great museums and entertainment for sure. pretty lame riverfront IMO, though the lakefront is fairly nice.

exactly. Its one thing to have some pride in your city/region and its another thing to be a provincial idiot. Chicago is great. There is no such thing as the best food, culture, etc. Chicago doesnt even come close to the best food traditions in the US, let alone the planet.
