Both Duncan and Shaqs finals numbers from 2000-2007 are overrated due to feasting on scrub teams

I have this as the 2nd best finals performance since MJ, after peak Shaq..grouping all those 3-peat finals together.

I'd honestly take 2001-2003 Duncan over any version of Lebron/Kobe/Durant/Wade/etc to build around..he was just everything you wanted out of a franchise player, mostly because he could elevate the team and everyone's game on both ends of the floor in a way no one has been able to do in a long time.

Scary to think what 2003 Duncan would've been able to do if he had Manu and TP in their primes at that time..

Half of Duncan's success is just from Pop' masterful offensive schemes

Take that away and you have your generic 20/10 player that's a dime a dozen (zach Randolph, Demarcus cousins etc)

    Good player not great

Magic, Wade, and Bird had some good Finals as well. Comparable to the '03 Finals. LeBron had an EPIC Playoff run in '12, not just the Finals, BTW. '01-'03 Duncan was EPIC, but lets not act like he was significantly better than LeBron or Wade or Kobe. Those guys pretty good as well.

    Most underrated finals ever

He was getting buckets , rebounding and making plays for his team, as well as ELITE defense.

Second leading scorer was tony parker on 14 PPG he was averaging 10 more points then the second scorer.

He also held Kenyon Martin to 34FG%

    GOAT PF

I dont think Lebron has a Finals better then this, neither do Kobe
he played stupid good on both ends
Aww the Kobe fan playing his bit now

Awww Kobe fan has his panties in a bunch....

I agree that Duncan's 2003 is better than any season, playoff, or finals run Kobe ever had.

    Also,
    3 fmvps 》 2
    2 mvps》 1 in 17 seasons
    Very nice.

Definitely, we're talking a pretty small difference. Offensively all 3 of Lebron/Kobe/Wade were probably better, and I wasn't counting Bird/Magic, just post-MJ players. The thing that tips it to Duncan's favor for me over the modern era perimeter guys was his defensive impact those couple years in his peak, which I don't think anyone except peak KG has approached in the past 15-18 years since the 90s centers.
