Might be true, but he recently said he isn't sure yet and that his mind changes every other day.

Too early to tell IMO, GM is just doing his job selling tickets, if Kobe is healthy all year and team does relatively well or even better, I doubt he's calling it quits if he sees an opportunity to contend for a title one last time.

If next season is same as this one, he's gonna retire because he ain't gonna kill his body on a team that needs a rebuild.

Yeah, my mistake. I had heard on a Sports report that he announced it and then when they repeated it on the next report, I had assumed it was accurate.

not a chance in hell. he is kobying jordan, but in the business department. he is starting his own company KOBE INC. I doubt he would try to run a team while trying to get his business going (yes i know he will have business managers, but i feel kobe's always been a hands on person).

I doubt Kobe will come up with any firm decision until he can judge himself playing basketball next year. If he feels he has more to give, he'll keep playing. If he doesn't, he'll retire.
