It's funny how the younger generation that never watched VC play in Toronto are the ones asking for VC's number to be retired in Toronto.

The dude literally gave up on his team during the last season. He walked the ball up the court, jacked up a stupid jumpshot, and walked back on defense laughing.

He also stopped dunking because he thought it was "over rated".. and then proceeded to dunk every possession on the Nets.

I was a Vince Carter fan back in the day. My first non Jordan non Lakers jersey was of Vince Carter. He never gave any chance for Bosh to showcase his talents in his sophomore season. he was obviously sandbagging in his last season with the raptors.

I don't recall the exact reasons, but one of them was that he HATED Sam Mitchell. He played well with the Nets obviously but he was never the same after that injury in 2002.
