Default Why is the WHO pushing this malaria vaccine so hard?

I don't get. In 2019 the WHO itself reported 229 million cases of malaria vs 409 thousand deaths, which means it has a survival rate of 99.82%. Is that really such a big deal?

What is their actual goal here? Just why do they want people putting questionable chemicals into their bodies?

Not sure about it. Still doing my own research but what I've seen so far is just confusing.
