just a great game.
Not ideal for Urias and Gonsolin to be done for the season.
Would not count out the Dodgers yet...Pepiot or Miller could be dominant over a month of postseason play if either one can command their electric stuff.

Both Gonsolin and Urias have been complete ass this season tbh.

Yeah unless he dominates the rest of the way Strider’s ERA is gonna be way too high to win Cy Young. Cardinals going off on him. I’m sure our pitching will ruin it though.

Can’t believe we beat the Braves in a series. Where was this all year?

Gonsolin has not been right all year. You are right there. Urias has been inconsistent but he is still someone you trust more than Lance Lynn.

I would trust CURRENT Greg Maddux over Lance Lynn.

TEFLON DON!!!
Re: MLB Season Discussion Thread: 2023
Yeah Ronald is definitely the MVP this year. I gotta think he makes it to 40 homeruns. 40/70 would be disgusting.
I do think Spencer probably lost the Cy Young with his last outing. I think he has 5 starts left, so he'll have to go 5-0 with a sub 3 ERA the rest of the way to make it interesting. With his stuff, it's always been about location. Once he can locate that fastball where he wants and not leave it right down the middle, he'll be the next dominant pitcher in the game.

Strider can get away with missing the glove as long as he is still throwing strikes.

Pretty annoying series against the Cardinals. Have the series of the season against the Dodgers and then give up a million runs to a last place team.
We've now lost series to the Athletics, White Sox, and Cardinals in the last 2 months. For as amazing as this team is there can be focus issues against lesser teams.

Brewers P Brandon Woodruff with a CG 6 hit SO of Miami.
PH Mark Canha (acquired at deadline) led off with a HR in the first which turned out to be the game winner!

Over the last couple of months it’s just been some nagging stuff with the hamstring mixed with a little bit of a slump. It’s nothing serious but having a backup as good as D’Arnaud and the team being as good as it is in general you can afford to give the catcher some extra rest heading into the postseason.
He’ll be in the lineup every day in October.

Win number 199 for Waino. If he gets one more at least something good happened this season
