Maxey and Brunson have been throwing haymakers at each other all series
One of the best points guard duels I've witnessed in a minute

Not here to slurp Maxey like everyone else. Or bash Embiid for that same matter.
I'll say this..... better things happened when Batum was on the court instead of Tobias. I'm sure the real Sixers fans have identified that

Embiid is actually a really good sidekick. He can shoot 3's and midrange, he is a great free throw shooter and a great rim protector and pretty good at switching. If Maxey can't win with him, then he is not that guy.

Maxey kind of reminds me of he moves like Dwayne Wade.

Brunson and Hart threw that game away down the stretch. Insane clutch shot to tie it by Maxey with the season on the line.

Having Batum late in the game to be a defensive disruptor and a rebounder help.
Like I keep repeating, Tobias is a liability as someone who looks for his shots and not do the things to win a game.
Oubre has key down the stretch as well. Being able to position himself for quick finishes. I f that was Tobi he'd be parked on the perimeter baseline waiting to be iso'd from there.
Limit Tobi = Sixers win this series

Harris did hit 1 huge shot down 5 at the end of the shotclock somewhere in the 4th where it felt like momentum was switching big time

This wasn't the particular clip I was thinking of, there was another one where he was being more obnoxious but it shows you what a sarcastic prick he was being about it. He went on doing the rounds that day trying to show up Morey for refusing to trade him.
He was butt hurt because a few days earlier when Lillard was demanding a trade he had this "exclusive insider" take that the reason Morey didn't give Maxey his extension was to better Miami's offer because the Tyler Hero contract was so unattractive due to the size.
Remember Maxey is only earning $4.3 million this season in contrast to Tobias Harris $39.2 million.

Yeah that was horrible. I wouldnt even consider trading Maxey for Lillard given their ages.
I just noticed that Philly has almost nobody signed for next season lol. I don't remember seeing any team with that much cap space. Even assuming Maxey getting a max deal (lol) they still have a ton of space.
I am assuming that they didn't resign Maxey because his cap hold is far less than a max deal would be, giving them more cap room.

Maxey's market value has gone up since last season. Him and his agent expecting that could have been a factor there. I don't know if they were negotiating but he's an allstar now so if they weren't offering the max he was smart to wait.

I don't think that's the issue. Maxeys cap hold is only $13 million which gives them even more cap space to fill out the team.
I bet they already agreed to a max deal but will wait until they have filled out the roster before signing it.
