Mike Tyson is the most overrated athlete in history. People still buy into the myth of a guy who dominated a severely weak division. He was exposed time and again, but people want so badly to believe he was unbeatable at 19...
IMO, no one comes close to the overrated-ness of Tyson... at least, not in sports.

Wrong. The most over rated person in sports history is defenitly this man,
Michael Phelps. People think he is the greatest swimmer of all time but he was exposed this olympics he couldn't even get 8 for 8 World Records..
Truth is he was just dominating a severely weak division of average swimmers.

Ali marketed himself.... And he rhymed, he joked, he made a show out of the pre-fight hype... and he was an entertainer in the ring.. the best ever
to top it off he stood up against the war and was even stripped of his title. He did it on principle....

Couldn't take a punch that well? Does rope-a-dope ring a bell? The worst thing to happen to Ali as far as his long-term health was the realization that he could take a punch.
