Kobe is a great passer, you can only question his willingness not his ability. I've seen Kobe make some laser on point passes.

We've seen D'antoni do this before. Kobe turns into a turnover machine.

This is where someone like Bledsoe would come in handy. Mitch made the wrong moves this offseason.

that f*cker directs enough passes out there.

of course it's got nothing to do with him changing his position.

Lakers won the OT because he turned into a playmaker. Maybe don't start him at PG, but basically plays the role from his SG position.

Exactly right! It's not about ABILITY its about MENTALITY! Kobe is a great scorer who is ALSO a great passer. LeBron is a great passer who is ALSO a great scorer. There is a difference! Kobe is easily capable of doing the job. But Kobe is a score first player, which is fine because he's a SG. If Byron does it, will it be with a big backcourt of Kobe and Swaggy P. Or will he just inverse the backcourt and have Kobe at PG and Lin at SG.

Once again, I'm not shitting on Kobe for taking the money the Lakers gave him. He deserves it. But that contract hindered the Lakers options in terms of bringing in talent. Kobe has already won five rings so maybe he is content with just moving up the scoring chart.

But if his goal was to win another ring, it was a bad decision. U can take one look at the Lakers squad and see that. And that was WITH a healthy Nash and Randle. Without them made the shit even worse.

Great point. When playing a guy full time at PG, it means bringing up the ball after a miss OR a make. And also initiating the offense in the half court. Kobe can easily do that. But Kobe might just be the main facilitator in the halfcourt primarily. But if u want the ball in his hands as often as possible, I think it entails playing PG often. When u think about it, Kobe usually led the Lakers in assists per game most of the time is his career from the SG position. The triangle didn't really require a true PG.

I don't mind the turnovers because turnovers don't turn into points for the other team where assists are points.

Turnovers are overrated. Previous champs have usually been high in turnovers. Magic averaged something like 4 a game a few seasons.

Lakers are one of the lowest turnover teams in the league. Tells you how much turnovers mean in itself. Other factors matter like passes and pace.

I don't like Kobe playing PG because he barely has legs at the end of the game. He made crucial turnovers from just being gassed late in the game. Let him facilitate from the high post but don't let him bring the ball up the court.
