What exactly is American culture?

It used to be working hard to better yourself, working towards a better life.

But now half the country doesn't work, so its more of a 'well if he's not working I'm not working' sort of culture.

And a culture of cry babies, *******, and people who get offended.

People don't work because they are jealous? They don't work because of not being able to get jobs.

In India, two 15 year old girls were recently sentenced to be gang banged and paraded around the village naked because their brother slept with a higher caste girl. We should allow Indians to come to the United States and practice their culture freely. It is racist to force our ideas upon them.


If someone moves to a country, it is up to them to assimilate to that country's culture and society.

God damn you're an idiot. India has over a billion people and you're going to take an extreme example that is relevant to very small group of those people.

People don't work because its easier to do nothing and get paid for it. You see how much welfare is these days? Go look. Your average welfare recipient is making $12/hr for working... zero hours.

Last year Maine passed a measure that would require recipients of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, otherwise known as SNAP, to complete a certain number of work, volunteer, or job-training hours before being eligible for assistance.

At the close of 2014 approximately 12,000 individuals were enrolled in the state assistance program. Keep in mind that these individuals are adults who aren’t disabled and who don’t have children at home and who are claiming the food-stamp benefits because of a lack of financial resources.

After forcing these individuals to either work part-time for twenty hours each week, enroll in a vocational program, or volunteer for a minimum of twenty-four hours per month, the numbers showed a significant drop from 12,000 enrollees to just over 2,500.

They had a job right there, but didn't want to work for it. 20 hours a week, to continue getting freebies, and people said **** it.

Yeah they want jobs all right. In a state with 5.5% unemployment.
