Saints QB Drew Brees has multiple injuries
Saints quarterback Drew Brees reportedly has multiple rib fractures, and a collapsed lung, per a source as reported by ESPN.
The report says that the injuries happened over multiple recent games.
This dude needs a vacation.
Obviously it should be assumed that he'll miss Week 11.

Why is it that running backs can take so much abuse but these QB's get hit once and they shatter? I mean I get there needs to be more freedom of movement but is the protective gear really that much weaker?
Some of these older guys i understand too

Collapsed lung means he needs to retire. Saints should not even allow him to play.

Quarterbacks get hit as much as anyone probably more now that so many teams rotate runners. The difference is that a quarterback relies on his arm so the loss of speed that goes along with the years of abuse is not as important as it is for a running back that can't play if he can't move with quickness.
