Won't matter. The league and refs will make sure the public has to see LeBron's bald spot in the finals again.

This is the first year they've really been great at home under COTM. Been a better road team for whatever reason. Defense travels I guess?

Let's say he misses a month, that's around 15 games. Given that AD is out too, I can't imagine a top-heavy team like LA managing to win a single game without its 2 best players. LA lost all 4 games they played without AD/Schroder earlier in the season. Without AD/LeBron? Yikes. There's just no way they are going to be in the top 8 by the time LeBron returns. They'll be fighting for the play-in at the end of the regular season, with LeBron/AD fresh off serious injuries and far from where you'd want them to be.

The season is essentially over for LA. And the manner in which it happened has to be quite unprecedented for a great team.

    - Defending champ continues to be elite in quest for 2nd title
    - #2 at worst for favorites to win championship
    - Best player is tops in the MVP race with 60% of the season over

....and all comes crashing down thanks to a freak injury. Given that LeBron will by 37 the following season and Nets will manage to bolster their roster even more so in the offseason, let's just be grateful LA managed to win a championship last season and made LeBron's move to LA a major success.

High ankle sprains are a lot more common in football. Players typically miss more than half the season if they're lucky.

It's not a freak injury when it's an old guy. Father Time is undefeated

Sucks if he can't be healthy enough to defend his chip...as an MJ fan, I gotta give Bron credit for being so durable, he has mostly avoided big injuries his whole career but him being on the wrong side of 30 and nearing 40, even he will start to be more injury prone as he gets up there in age.

Ummm it wasn't a non contact injury or injury from wear and tear. It was just a freak play (I'm assuming you've seen the play?) that could've happened to anybody.

i used to scoff at them announcing 4-6 weeks out.. then i got a high sprain...

to keep an NFL RB out means it's severely bad, it would have killed a mere mortal

the air cast is such an important development over the last few decades

worst part of my last 3 years was sitting there hearing a consultation on whether to put my broken ankle (with a high sprain) into a plaster cast (and crutches)

    nope, thankfully

I believe that's why Alvin Kamara had a terrible season 2 years ago.

Default Lebron is healthy enough to play

negative MRI and he easily put weight on it right after it happened.

why is he sitting out? already getting the excuses ready for his inevitable failure this year?

"high sprain" is a horrible phrase to hear, harder to heal and rehab back into shape than a simple fracture...

bran in a walking boot is still a better player than all of the players you've stanned over the years OP
