So did the in-season NBA tournament turn out to be a good idea
It seems like the NBA in-season tournament turned out to be a good idea, didn't it? I only watched some of it but the games I saw it looked like it was playoff intensity, and maybe I'm imagining things but it felt like the players were taking it more seriously than they would take the average regular season game.
So maybe it was a good idea? What do you think

And of course the above is just about the group stage. Up next is the quarterfinals and that should be really good too I think

I'll just post on that one then.
I have to say that the games I saw were very competitive and felt like they were higher level than regular season. So to me that means those games were good. But of course I only saw a few.
But I think to really come to a final decision we all have to watch the quarterfinal semifinals and finals first and see how those games go.
Format changes and stuff can always happen for next year.

Very good NBA starter
Re: So did the in-season NBA tournament turn out to be a good idea
I think intensity was up, the games were better and it's not a bad idea at all. However, the trendy thing here is to hate it. I don't hate it. It's a lot more interesting than the All-Star Weekend. Sure, you can say we don't need either... but actually what does the In-Season Tournament take away? It's the same regular season games just a bit more intensity at the group stage. And from here on it's a mini tournament. I don't know why I should hate this. It hasn't been bad at all so far.

It's always been a good idea because it's just an addition to regular season games. There is very little downside. Only upside.
