Default Ant is crusin' for a bruisin'

    He will be humbled

The first time he felt a hint of pressure in Game 7, he shot 25%...

The Finals will certainly have this kind of pressure... But it's all just fun and games and surprising everyone right now

Yea that’s true I don’t think anyone on the Nuggets even knew who he was before this.

He's too young to know what's going on and has been coddled so far in his career... This honeymoon, no-pressure period will end soon.. The Finals has a way of squeezing everyone - we saw "the game" from Lebron against the Pistons in 07' and it was all fun and games - but the Finals is always a different level and even the court has special graphics that looks more grand than any other round..

There was real pressure in Game 7 - the biggest game of Ant's life and he felt it - he responded by shooting 25%... This is far from the last time he starts to feel pressure as he gets older and the "next MJ" joke wears off

here's the thing - I didn't know that he was taunting the Nuggets' bench and had started to do some immature things out of youthful exuberance... This indicates that he's reaching his limit... It's starting to get a little to big for him - and he isn't ready... not yet

I've seen brash young guys like him a million times - they always get humbled and shut down.

    It's human nature.

Wait until he faces someone that is just as hungry but has actually cut their teeth

Who’s going to humble him? They just took out the defending champs who had that vaunted superior brand of ball. Now they play “Luka-ball”.

I guess you’re a Celtic fan for the next few weeks. But if the Wolves out-physical them and win the series then what?

You're making the case that Ant will get carried to a title by great bigs like Gobert, KAT and Naz Reid.

In this scenario, the numbers will show that Ant isn't carrying the team like MJ did... In addition to the lower scoring burden, Ant averages 0.7 offensive rebounds, compared to 1.6 for Jordan... Jordan averaged more offensive rebounds than a lot of frontcourt players like Lebron for example.

So it's a completely different caliber - Jordan is bigger, stronger and faster, while Ant can't offset this with better scoring, clutch or defense, since he's inferior in these areas as well.. Ant could never achieve Rodman-level rebounds for an entire playoff run like MJ did in 97' - MJ and Rodman co-led the rebounding on that run, while Ant will never be a rebounding leader for his team.

the rebounding, blocks, and steals are relevant because Ant and MJ play the same position.

Ultimately, there isn't a single aspect of basketball that Ant isn't inferior to MJ.. MJ even shoots threes better at today's volumes than Ant.

Ant takes roughly 7-8 3s a game all 4 years of his career so far. Many are contested. MJ would be shooting like 15% with that shot profile.

First let’s not overplay 1 offensive rebound lol. Also hilarious you have to talk about all around olay for ant because he scores 10ppg more than his 2nd option in kat. With any other star you disregard any other aspect besides ppg but you can’t for ant this run. You say ant has goat lvl help how can he when his 2nd option scores 10ppg less that’s not good help based on your previous arguments. Either you concede you were wrong before or admit ant is carrying the wolves hard you can’t have it both ways

Just a week ago, you made this pronouncement:

“ SGA and Edwards won't win another game in these playoffs because their simpleton, down-hill brand has been solved... “

That was before OKC won game five, and of course, before MN won games 6 and 7. Like a broken clock, eventually you will be right about something, but almost certainly not for the reasons you rely on.

Are you threatened? He totally took Jamal Murray out of game 7 in the second half and for the series put clamps on him.

Ant played a good game despite the stats. He was a factor on the court because he was contributing in other ways than just scoring. Ant isn't carrying the Wolves but this is his team. Minny was soft and boring for years but now they are fierce and confident. Arrogant, even. Fearless. KAT looks different. Gobert looks different. They've taken on Ant's swagger and they'll go as far as Ant takes them. I'm excited to see what he does with this team.

I heard Cowherd say "Ant just needs his Pippen to help him on his off-shooting nights", except that's exactly what KAT, McDaniels and Gobert did in Game 7 - they saved the team from his bed-wetting.. So he already has a few Pippen's plus Conley and others - he has more help than MJ ever had.

People will see that Ant is just another short guard like Rose, Francis or Wade - short primes - tiny guys that average 0.7 offensive rebounds so they can't get in there and bang like bigger SG's (1.6 for MJ).. MJ was bigger faster stronger, which matters when we're talking the same position.

Ant isn't carrying the team like Jordan did because he can't and also because he has more help than MJ ever had.. He's the worst "next Jordan yet".... Kobe and Tmac were better at 22... Wade was probably better too

He's certainly carrying the team. Over 10ppg greater than the next-best scoring teammate.

Ergo, he is carrying the scoring load and defeating maximum defensive attention.
