As if basketball is only a 2v2 sport. It is SO clear that the KD/Curry Warriors will beat the 2000-2002 Lakers. Shaq would go off for his 40/20, but I really don't think Kobe would out-impact Curry or KD. And frankly, the Warriors 3-10 players are better than the Lakers 3-10 players, AND the Warriors have a more effective modern offense. And of course, casuals always forget the Warriors were either the best or 2nd best defensive team in the league too.

It's NOT about how the superstars play (Shaq/Kobe or MJ/Pippen), it's the fact that as a whole team and playstyle philosophy, the 96-98 Bulls and 00-02 Lakers CANNOT keep pace with the Warriors play. You can't beat the Warriors making 5 threes per game and constantly having 1 or even 2 complete ineffective role players on the court at the same time against the Warriors.
Bolding my OP to expose these dumbasses trying to say the Lakers would win. Literally my first post and yet, here comes the morons doing exactly what I predicted.

Look at the post I quoted. You thinking KD is neutralizing Kobe is the funniest part about this whole back & forth. I've addressed everything, including their supporting casts. You can't leave Fisher & Horry open from 3. You got no one that can stop Shaq or Kobe. Somehow the Lakers have no shot tho because Warriors shoot more 3s. Great.

2017 Warriors have this mythical all-time great aura about them because Kawhi got Zaza'd in Game 1 of the WCF when his team was up by 20+ points in the 3rd.

The Warriors outside Curry and Durant weren't all that. Klay shit bed in Finals almost every time. Dray can't shoot. McGee and zaza can't shoot. The Warriors shooting and spacing wasn't as deep as you make it out to be.

And again you have no answer for the paint. Where LA would certifiably dominate. We JUST saw Dallas win with pure paint points while getting outscored from 3 massively.

It becomes even more hilarious when you consider 2001 Fisher was on absolute fire from 3 in the playoffs and they had Robert ****ing Horry! Whose one of the best stretch 4s ever and a waaay better shooter than Dray.

Yeah, Klay & Dray were only both All-NBA the year before, Dray was DPOY that season, and when Curry went out in the playoffs the year before the Warriors went 5-2 without him straight up blowing teams out. Not to mention they nearly won the Finals with Curry playing like absolute shit the entire series. Two additional All-NBA players/HOF'ers in their prime, but the supporting cast wasn't all that

Yeah, THAT's why they're considered an all-time great team, no other reason

Derek Fisher and Robert Horry combined to shoot like 7 threes per game dude...it's low volume.

Also this topic was initially 2000-2002 Lakers vs 2017-2019 Warriors, and now it's just been cherry picked to hell and devolved into dumb conversation.

It's just hilarious how you all have somehow forgotten how dominant the Warriors were even though it was literally just a few years ago, but then view the 2000-2002 Lakers through rose-tinted glasses.

I'm over this conversation, ISH really does suck.

The 2000-2002 Lakers won 3 rings to the warriors 2 and had one of the most dominant runs ever in 2001. What in the world are you even talking about you fool?

You're literally living in opposite day.

They're considered that because of the 16 - 1 Playoff record. Funny how the best team that they faced in those POs lost their best player in Game 1 of the ****ing series.
