Admittedly that was more of an 'out of habit' pick but yeah, RIGHT NOW he's not a top ten player but presumably when healthy and playing he would be. By that reckoning, Lamelo Ball is top 10 right now.

I believe you could make an argument for top 5.

Jokic, Luka, Giannis, & AD have been the 4 best players so far.

I believe SGA, Tatum & Wemby are fighting for the 5th spot.

I don't think Steph is as good as he used to be. His age has started to show a bit in the last year or so.

Easily. Shaq, Lebron, and Wemby are the best prospects I've personally seen come into the league since watching the NBA.

Tf? Luka has been very disappointing, are you even following the NBA this year?

For his standards, yes. But the guy is still averaging almost 30 points while providing his usual playmaking skills.

His efficiency has been dreadful though, and it's not like he plays defense. Definitely not taking him over two way guys like Wemby or SGA so far.

That's fair, but the season basically just started. I don't see SGA being a better player than Luka throughout the entire year.

He doesn't have any rings, so I can't rank him too highly.

SGA was 2nd in the MVP voting last season.

For me, unless a player is performing dramatically worse either by their own standards or comparatively, I have to give certain guys passes if we also know they're gonna bring it when it really counts. The two unquestioned top 2 for me are Jokic and Giannis. Usually Luka is lumped into that trio but his year has been off to a slow start so far, but I have little reason to think he won't get back to what we expect of him. AD is having an MVP type season. Tatum, despite his inconsistencies, should get some benefit of doubt both coming off the chip and his current play. KD and Steph aren't in their peak, but I have a hard time saying they don't still warrant top 10 status. Those guys are at the 'pace themselves' stage. It's guys like SGA, ANT, and Wemby that still have to prove themselves in high stakes situations, and that's where for me Wemby sits amongst the echelon of the league. Crazy thing is we have guys like Donovan Mitchell leading his team to an 18-3 record so far and he doesn't even get an honorable mention.

How is Luka the same level as Jokic and Giannis?
