Default Boston and Minnesota shoot 96 3 pointers

They couldn’t crack 100 3s? At this point I think that players are either lazy or don’t have stamina. They don’t want to play as many games. When you only shoot 3s, it means that you don’t have the stamina to score in a variety of ways that require more energy. It’s taking the easy way out.

Neither team played defense. All shots were 3s way beyond the arc. Like a circus show. If these teams tried playing in the 80s they would not make it.

Lol. At this point I think the league has decided to troll in response to the criticisms of too many 3s. Funny thing is, the Wolves actually shot 54% (21/39). The Celtics just took 18 more (22/57) for 39% and ended up winning by 3 naturally.

Yea it does look like they’re trolling. But can it get any worse?

Absolutely. Two weeks ago wasn't the record set for missed 3's( 75 IIRC)? I'm guessing we'll see 90-100 before the year is out.

At the end of the season if I decide to kill an hour I'll catalogue how many Celtic threes game threads have been made. Somehow people find their play boring but love to talk about how boring it is.

The OP saying neither team played defense is ignorant. Anthony Edwards had 15 points on 5 of 16 shooting. It came at the price of maybe some other players getting bigger numbers than they normally would but the Celtic team defense stopped Edwards and that was the key to winning the game.

Hadn't thought about that, but it's definitely true when I think about playing myself. When you are tired, you go stand at the 3 point line and don't move and just hoist up 3s.

Nikola Tesla said that the pyramid structure and numbers 3 6 9 were the keys to the universe.

So them taking 96 3s combined may just be a blessing being bestowed upon us by The Source.

Of course the Celtics had a part in this and their boring bland style of basketball by just chucking up 3's. Overrated garbage team.

Speaking of trolling us, do you think it's possible players are doing this to protest? Remember in the All Star game last year, Silver was pissed off cuz the teams didn't play hard. And by having these tournaments, all star and in season, players just decided to jack up even more 3s, so they could get their way. Maybe they want a shortened season or something. Something is really weird when players will pass up open 2s only to take wild and contested 3s.

It's possible there's some unspoken code amongst the players. The response to the increasing complaints has just been more 3s and more players taking them who have absolutely no business doing so.
