Um if we start by this premise the entire sport is a joke finance wise. I assume fans accepted that these players are insanely paid, so this is part of the game. If Jimmy bitching about money is disrespectvul becasue average fans decide between rent and food, then the entire league is disrespectful for existing honestly.

You can count on one hand the amount of players who are better when it counts most. Goddamn casuals.

Butler had a career low time of possession when playing this season. I think the number the analysts stated was 1.7 seconds per touch since December. He's playing hot potato unwilling to actually try and make plays or score. As soon as he gets the ball he's giving it up. January is his lowest scoring month from a points per game since his 2nd season in Chicago. He's not trying. And ultimately, like I said he's taking opportunity from other guys trying to earn a living.
Oh well if he had a career low in his per touch thing that totally negates the three times he took the Heat to the NBA/EC finals.

You can expand that conversation beyond basketball or sports in general. The biggest movie stars make boatloads of money. The point isn't so much about whether these athletes/celebrities are overpaid or that their industries deserve to exist or not, it's that the average person doesn't want to hear some 1%er bitching about money. People who have to save up to spend $150 on an NBA ticket ain't feeling some 50 million a year athlete sitting out suspended, load managing or whatever else.
