And no, my argument doesn't make me look silly. Your argument on the other hand doesn't equate. You live in the US on what isn't your ancestral land. Mexicans living in the Southwest (I'm not talking about illegals here), can mostly trace their lineage back to peoples that existed in the same states or Mexico.

Nothing has changed for them. They didn't go anywhere. It's just the titles of ownership have changed, whether Spain, Mexico, or the US. Whereas in the example you gave, your family is living in an entirely different country on nearly the other side of the world. See the difference?

Lastly, why would they demand citizenship when they already are citizens? My focus here isn't about illegals.
This guy makes no goddamn sense.

    Wrong-O.

That was easy to spot. Places like Germany and Poland absolutely were my ancestral land. I can trace my lineage directly back there. Doesn't mean I can just waltz in there and settle down on my own whim. Because I wasn't born there and they have rules in place that supersede who I came from 100 or 200 or 500 years ago.

Thats literally youre argument which is a joke. Times change, countries change, borders change, you don't get to just revoke yourself to 500 years ago on your own volition. Sorry pal.

The US is stolen land though. If someone walked into your grandfather's home 100 years ago, killed him and took it. Is it the thief's grandchild's home to inherit, or is it yours?

Morally speaking though, I don't really think any land on Earth is property of any human. Earth as a whole is the home to all of us.

Does that include your home as well? What about the land your home is built on?

Is your house OUR house too?

A home is personal property, but true the land it sits on would need regulation still. In theory removing all the borders in the world would be one huge country. Laws would still exist. People would still have their own homes and that land, but anyone could travel to their area.

He appears to be talking about US citizens with Mexican/New Spain heritage who LIVE, and whose families have ALWAYS lived in what is now the southeastern United States.

It's a different situation than your distant ancestors being from Germany and you just deciding to go there and proclaim to be a citizen.

Removing borders means we no longer have countries, which means we no longer abide by the laws of those countries, which means we no longer recognize any property deeds that were issued by governing bodies in those countries.

So if the lines across the globe are being redrawn and no one is entitled to own property, who says you should get to own that parcel of land? There are 8 billion people on Earth who need a home. What makes you so special?

    No borders =/= No laws

Not sure why you think that has to be the situation.

Or we could leave the borders and instead view them similar to state lines. Like they just dictate law of the land and not where you can travel. It would be like viewing the entire world as the US and each country is a state. And just like here, your home is yours, but everyone has the freedom to roam your neighborhood.

I think something like that is where we are headed toward eventually. As the world evolves and becomes more global.

Laws are tied to jurisdiction. That is why North Korea is governed by a communist style dictatorship and South Korea isn't. You can't just magically pretend the border that separates the two doesn't exist. If you get rid of the border and combine the region, which laws get to stay in place? Who decides?

Newsflash, not everyone wants to be governed like the United States. In certain countries a homosexual act can be punishable by death. Which governing body is going to tell them they can't do that? Who has the authority?

As usual you lefties propose some fantasy proposition that is totally impossible and impractical. But hey if you really feel like no one is entitled to own land, you are more than welcome to give up your home. It's not yours anyway. It belongs to the Earth. It's actually extremely immoral of you to keep something that doesn't belong to you.

The pathological liar who said Mexico would pay for the wall and immigrants are eating dogs and cats now says LA is a war zone.

And the dumbass MAGAS who can't think for themselves believe him.

I was just saying that morally speaking, I do no think any human owns land on Earth. It is all of ours. I was not trying to suggest that snapping our fingers and making the borders vanish was easy or feasible. It is a hypothetical. BUT, now that I think about it. It might be more doable than it seems. Different states have different laws. Could make the country borders like state borders. Each country gets to keep their laws. But people can move around freely.
