The only reason people forgot Lebron's unprecedented deck-stacking and started to respect his rings is because his historic chokes in 10' or 11' made him a sympathetic underdog... So people forgot that he stacked the deck by teaming up with "Kobe-Pau II", while hand-picking 6 straight preseason favorites from 11' to 16', and having the only super-team in the league.

If the Heat won the 2011 Finals, no one would respect the ring and it would be considered a massive asterisk ring.. Everyone would know that Lebron was allowed to put the top 3 players in the conference on 1 team so he could stop losing it as the favorite.

But after the 2011 loss, people forgot that Lebron stacked the deck because 3 straight upset losses made him a sympathetic figure.. It didn't seem like deck-stacking since Lebron was such a massive loser... People forgot that he superseded the 2010 Lakers by getting a Kobe-like sidekick and a 3rd option that was better than Pau... So even though many people didn't notice, his rings were asterisk rings that someone had to stop by getting an even bigger advantage (KD's Warriors)..
